Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight

Jamieson & Smith's Jumper weight yarns are 100% Shetland wool and are traditionally used in the knitting of Fair Isle garments. Available in the full palette of beautiful shades originally designed by Jamieson and Smith, this yarn is their flagship yarn. 2ply refers to the plys in the yarn, this wool is a 4ply Woollen Spun thickness.

Jamieson & Smith yarns are made from 100% Real Shetland wool, from Shetland Sheep that are born and bred in Shetland. Each year J&S purchases wool from over 700 local crofters and farmers to transform into their quality natural yarns.

Caring for your wool: Hand wash only. If cared for well, your wool will last a lifetime. Shetland knits are passed down through generations, with arms and necklines re-knitted and delicate lace repaired and carefully conserved. Store your wool in a clean, dry place with a sprig of lavender to keep your Real Shetland Wool at its best.
