Sheepskin

Portuguese vegetable-tanned sheepskin. In many countries, sheepskin is considered an indispensable accessory for homewear due to its many natural qualities, including its softness and its ability to regulate temperature. It can be used as a cover for soft furnishings or as a rug, for added comfort. The use of sheepskin is also considered to be beneficial in preventing skin and respiratory allergies due to its natural anti-bacterial properties.

This sheepskin is vegetable tanned, free of chromium and other harmful chemical treatments. Please note this sheepskin is not medical grade.

Available in different colors, all natural shades of the sheep's fleece. As this is a natural product, every sheepskin is unique and there are variations in size, tone and texture for each individual sheepskin. The photographs in this product page are merely indicative, and used as an illustration of the general look of the sheepskin.

• Brown: dark brown
• Malhada: mottled fleece with contrasting color variations
• Vega: café au lait color

Care instructions: Shake the skin and leave it regularly exposed to the air on a daily basis to keep it in optimal condition.

These sheepskins are a byproduct of the meat industry, ensuring all parts of the animal are used. No sheep were killed for their skins.
