Shaker-style sewing box handcrafted in Portugal by skilled artisans. The making of this Shaker Oval Box starts with the careful selection of the wooden materials, and its construction follows the meticulous manufacturing instructions of the Shaker community's woodworkers. Each piece of wood is cut to precision, submerged in boiling water, bent into its oval shape and fixed with copper tacks. Each box is made by hand, in a process that takes a few days from preparing the material to completing the finished product.
This sewing box is perfect for storing all your notions and materials, and features a hinge handle for handy transport.
Approximate dimensions: length 28 cm; width 21.5 cm; height 12 cm (with collapsed handle) / 25 cm (with upright handle).
