Arbusto sweater pattern
Printed pattern for the Arbusto sweater by Rosa Pomar (in English and Portuguese). This pattern was originally published on Laine Magazine 6. Digital download included (accessible at the end of check out).
Arbusto is knitted from top to bottom in the round in Brusca. It is worked in stockinette stitch and turned inside out in the end. Note that the bobbles are worked so that they are visible on the purl side of the sweater.

XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL)
Recommended ease: 2-4” / 5-10 cm of positive ease.

Bust circumference: 33.5 (36.75, 40.75, 44.75, 48.75, 52)” / 84 (92, 102, 112, 122, 130) cm.
Length from underarm to hem: 11 (11, 12.25, 12.5, 13.5, 13.5)” / 27.5 (27.5, 31, 31.5, 34, 34) cm.
Sleeve length from underarm to cuff: 16” / 40 cm.
Upper sleeve circumference: 10.5 (12, 14, 16, 18, 19.5)” / 26 (30, 35, 40, 45, 49) cm.
Yarn
6 (6, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins of Brusca by Rosa Pomar (100% wool, 137 yds / 125 m, 50 g), colourway C580 (the substitute shade to the original Brusca 5C which has been discontinued). Or approx. 821 (821, 930, 1094, 1094, 1231) yds / 750 (750, 850, 1000, 1000, 1125) m of DK / light worsted weight yarn.
Needles
Please swatch and adjust sizes to match gauge: US 4 / 3.5 mm 16” / 40 cm and US 6 / 4 mm 16” / 40 cm and 32” / 80 cm circular needles, or 40” / 100 cm if you prefer to magic loop.
Notions: Stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle.
Gauge
20 sts x 27 rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 6 / 4 mm needles in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
