Darning workshop with Teresa Nunes - 21 MAR
Couldn't load pickup availability
Teacher: Teresa Nunes
Date: Saturday 21 March 2026 (3pm - 6pm)
Wool is one of the most comfortable and environmentally friendly fibres in cold weather, but how often do we find holes made by moths in our clothes? Other times it is wear and tear on the elbows of our jumpers or the heels of our socks that inevitably becomes noticeable over time.
By using the technique of darning, we can repair and alter our knitwear, exploring different colours, textures and woven patterns. The aim is to celebrate the repair, making it a visible, surprising, more or less colourful element, which serves as a pretext for talking about textile waste and exploring new, more circular forms of creation.
Withdrawals/refunds: the registration fee will be refunded to students who for some reason cannot participate in the workshop and communicate their withdrawal up to ten days before the workshop date.
Location: Rua Maria Andrade, 50A (Lisbon)
Please note: The workshop will only take place if a minimum of three people sign up to participate. In the event that we don’t reach minimum attendance of three participants until five days before the date of the workshop, the workshop will be cancelled and any participants who had signed up will be contacted for a refund, rescheduling (if possible) or shop voucher to be arranged. In the event that the workshop is cancelled by the tutor due to unforeseen circumstances, we will apply the same procedure: refund of the fee, exchange for a shop voucher or, should another workshop date already be booked, a rescheduling of the workshop.
