Taimi Socks Kit

A kit for Ronja Hakalehto's Taimi Socks pattern for our Mondim Yarn, published in Amirisu 26. Taimi Socks are worked in traditional Finnish colorwork patterns to inspire your own version of Finnish color combinations. Please note the pattern is not included in the kit, and is available in Amirisu 26 or in English and Japanese from the designer's Ravelry page.

Finished foot circumference: 8½ (8¾, 9)” / 21 (22, 23) cm

This kit includes:

• total of 3 skeins of Rosa Pomar´s Mondim (100% fine Portuguese wool, 100g, 385m): 1 skein MC, 1 skein CC1, and 1 skein CC2, in the chosen colors.
• One Mondim Project Bag.

Colors: 

• A: Mondim 100 (MC) +  Mondim C582* (CC1) + Mondim C573* (CC2)
• Choose colors

Option "Choose colors": please use the special instructions field in the shopping cart to indicate your choice of shades of Mondim in MC, CC1 and CC2.

*Note: The original sample in photo 1 was knitted in Mondim 100 (MC), 302 (CC1) and 306 (CC2). As Mondim 302 and 306 are discontinued shades, Retrosaria suggests shades C582 and C573 from the latest batch as substitutes.

Suggested needles (not included): US 1.5 / 2.5 mm 24” / 60 cm (or longer) circular needle, or a set of double pointed needles (DPNs). Or, needles required to obtain gauge.

Gauge (after blocking):
33 stitches & 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in colorwork with US 1.5 / 2.5 mm needle.
32 stitches & 50 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch with US 1.5 / 2.5 mm needle.
