Limited edition Wenlin Studio x Rosa Pomar collab. Wool vest in 100% Portuguese wool, entirely sourced and produced in Portugal, and hand embroidered by Lisbon-based artist Gul E-Raana, founder of Wenlin Studio.
The two vests available in this collection are inspired by the folklore of Punjab and Portugal. The Nag (snake) and the Lagarto (lizard) - two creatures deeply rooted in their respective mythologies - have influenced us throughout this project.
Gul embroidered her illustrations using Punjabi folk embroidery techniques on wool vests crafted from Badana yarn. These embroideries embody the duality of movement and stillness, transformation and resilience. The textured wool serves as a canvas for storytelling, where ancient symbols are reinterpreted through embroidery, blending the heritage of Portuguese wool craftsmanship with the artistry of Punjabi embroidery. Each stitch forms a bridge between cultures, whispering tales of survival, adaptation, and the unseen forces that shape our world.
This is a v-neck open vest with ribbed details, based on Rosa Pomar's Burgos vest design. It is made from our Badana yarn, a rustic single-ply woolly yarn, produced from the wool of the Churra Badana - a beautiful red-faced, long wool sheep native to the northeastern region of Portugal, and the third most endangered of our native breeds. This wool produces a light fabric that is very warm and insulating.
The vest is One Size, equivalent to a size Medium. It has an oversized fit and is designed to be worn open over shirts, t-shirts and dresses. Please refer to the measurements in the size chart.
